Basics

I am a data platform engineer, originally from Transylvania and now based in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. My path into data started back in 2018 with an internship at a Budapest startup, and I have been hooked ever since. Today I work as a Senior Data Platform Engineer at NIBC Bank, building governed data infrastructure — over the years that has meant dbt models in Snowflake, Airflow pipelines, and the CI/CD that keeps them boring and reliable. Off the clock, that same itch for automation turns into self-hosted developer tools and a steadily growing homelab.
